Ulajh: Gulshan Devaiah Asks Fans To Promote Janhvi Kapoor Film Via 'Word Of Mouth', Says 'Stress Gets...'

Janhvi Kapoor’s highly-anticipated film, Ulajh, is out in theatres now. The Sudhanshu Saria directorial features Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Matthew and Janhvi Kapoor trying to untangle bureaucracy in this spy thriller. After the film’s release, Gulshan took to his X handle to urge the audience to promote the film via word of mouth.

Gulshan wrote, “‘Word Of Mouth’ is the Mt Everest of publicity. It can’t be created without the organic support of the audience. This is what every movie in the cinemas hopes & prays. #Ulajh is in cinemas today. I fell in love with movies since I was 6/7 years old. It’s always a special feeling to have a theatrical release. It’s been a little over 13 years in the business now & ya the ability to handle stress gets better & better with experience, so I’m not really stressed or anything. If the audience deems it fit, they will give us the gift of their very precious & coveted WOM. See y’all at the movies.”

Headlined by Janhvi and Gulshan, Ulajh revolves around Suhana Bhatia (Janhvi), a young government official in the embassy of India in the United Kingdom. Coming from a legacy family, Suhana is burdened with a cloud of nepotism over her head while she tries to wrap her mind around her new position in the UK. However, she meets a mysterious man and is enamoured by him. Then ensues a saga of deception and trickery.

News18 Showsha gave the film 3 out of 5 stars. Our review of the film read, “Despite the shortcomings in the writing, Sudhanshu Saria manages to get the cast right. This works brilliantly in his favour. With Ulajh, Janhvi has proved that she not only has a knack for interesting concepts (Mili and Good Luck Jerry are also good examples of this) but has been working on her craft as well. She does a great job in the film, especially in the action sequences.”

“The highlight of the film is undoubtedly Gulshan Devaiah. The actor delivers a memorable performance. He goes from looking hot to truly getting under your skin in two hours, and I am here for it. Another standout performance in the film was by Roshan Mathew. The actor is on fire from the word go. He has a few of the best lines in the film. His rapport with Janhvi is fun to watch. I wouldn’t mind watching a haters-turned-lovers story featuring the two,” the review also mentioned.
