Villains in the Indian film industry have always had a swagger of their own, enjoying immense popularity among the masses. This popular South cinema actor made the list of some of the highest-paid celebrities in the country for portraying an antagonist.
The name of that actor is South star Yash, who gained immense fame from the blockbuster hit series, KGF. The actor is preparing for Ravana in the upcoming Nitesh Tiwari directorial, Ramayana. As per the reports, the film is going to be one of the most expensive films in the history of Indian cinema. It is reported to have a budget of Rs 835 crore.
Some earlier reports stated that Yash would be getting a hefty amount of Rs 150 crore for his appearance in the film. But now it is being said that he is opting for a bigger and better deal that would land Rs 200 crore in his pockets and there is a possibility that he could earn even more. The latter depends on how the film fares at the box office. So, if everything goes as reported, Yash could become the most expensive villain in the history of Indian cinema, ahead of names like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
Ramayana is being helmed by Nitesh Tiwari while the producers are Allu Aravind and Madhu Mantena. It is being led by names like Ranbir Kapoor who will portray the role of Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash playing Ravana. The cast also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman along with Lara Dutta, Ravi Dubey, Sheeba Chaddha, Arun Govil and more. It is going to be a two-part film, with the first part expected to be released in 2025.
Meanwhile, Yash’s other projects include Toxic, also expected to be released in 2025. It is being directed by Geetu Mohandas while VN Productions and Monster Mind Creations are the banners behind it.
