Animal: Ridhi Dogra Praises Ranbir Kapoor's Film, Says 'Anyone Who Feels Triggered Should...'
Ridhi Dogra heaped praises at Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal which featured Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Tripti Dimri among others.

Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal is doing phenomenal business at the box office. The film, which released alongside Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur, has already entered the Rs 300 crore club in three days. Given the trends, Animal could beat Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju to become his highest grossing film of his career. Several celebs have reviewed Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial and joining them is none other than Jawan star Rihhi Dogra.

Penning the review on her X(formerly Twitter) handle, along with a Ranbir Kapoor’s still from Animal, Ridhi Dogra wrote, “Tripping on this ! What a film. Anyone who feels triggered, should respect their feelings and not watch the film. Coz this film has deeper meanings about attachments & consequences and a triggered heart won’t be able to take it. But #theanimal loved it all @imvangasandeep.”

According to a report by Sacnilk, Animal has collected Rs 312.96 crore following the collections on Wednesday.

The box office report stated that Animal collected Rs 30.00 crore on Wednesday. This is just Rs 7 crores lesser than Animal’s Tuesday collection. “Animal had an overall 34.88% Hindi Occupancy on Wednesday, December 06, 2023,” the report stated. The highest occupancy continues to be in NCR (48.25%), followed by Pune (45%) and Mumbai (38.75%).

Animal revolves around a man and his toxic relationship with his father. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film shows Vijay (played by Ranbir) as an anti-hero who would go to any lengths to protect his father, including gun down 200 people with machine gun. However, despite his efforts, he struggles to get a seal of approval from his emotionally unavailable father (played by Anil Kapoor). His unhealthy relationship with his father impacts his relationship with his wife (played by Rashmika Mandanna).

The film has already teased a sequel, titled Animal Park. Speaking about the same, Bobby told News18 Showsha, “It will take a few years for it to be constructed. I don’t know which animals will be there in it are but I truly hope I am (chuckles).”

Bobby also reacted to those asking for a spin-off on his character, Abrar. “I would love to work with Sandeep again and again. I love that man. He’s an amazing guy and an awesome director. He’s so humble. He has so much conviction when he makes films. That’s why the reaction around us is so real. But I do really hope that he directs me again,” he said.
