Farrey trailer: Salman Khan’s niece, Alizeh Agnihotri, is all set to make her film debut, confirming previous rumours. In a recent social media post, many celebs, including Salman himself, shared the title of Alizeh’s debut film, Farrey, and the teaser is out now. It was reported in November last year that Alizeh had begun shooting for award-winning director Soumendra Padhi’s film. Reports claimed that the film is slated for a 2023 release. Alizeh is the daughter of Salman’s sister Alvira Khan and producer Atul Agnihotri. A new poster of Farrey was shared on social media along with the trailer release date announcement.
The teaser hints at a thriller against the backdrop of a school in Sydney. Apart from Alizeh, the film also stars Class-fame Zeyn Shaw. The teaser scratches the surface of exams, cheating and the consequences. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Salman Khan wrote, “Main toh yeh F word ki baat kar raha tha, aapne kya socha! #FarreyTeaser Out Now!"
The trailer takes us on Niyati’s (Alizeh) journey from a small town who takes admission in a big school. She aims to crack IIT and has support from her parents in her pursuits. As she navigates exam pressure and school politics, she gets ensnared into a racket of cheating.
The official synopsis for the movie read, “What is the mystery behind Farrey? It is more than just a word. It is a thrilling journey waiting to be unravelled. Dive deep into the world of Farrey and watch this gripping story unfold on November 24th in cinemas near you!" Farrey is a slang word used by students for small chits of paper bearing answers, that they sneak into exam halls.
The film is being directed by Soumendra Padhi, the same creative mind behind the popular Netflix series Jamtara, which delved into the world of phishing scammers operating from India’s small towns.
