Since Shah Rukh Khan announced his third film for the year – Dunki – fans have been waiting with bated breath for the superstar to release the film’s teaser. The film marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh and ace director Rajkumar Hirani, further increasing fans’ expectations of the film. Now, it has been reported that the film’s teaser will be unveiled on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday.
A report from Pinkvilla claims that Dunki’s trailer will be released on November 2, on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday. The good news doesn’t just end here. The report also mentions that Shah Rukh Khan will watch the teaser live with fans at a special birthday event.
The report quotes a source as saying, “The teaser will hit the digital world on November 2, 2023. That’s not all. Shah Rukh Khan will be hosting a birthday event for his fans in Mumbai, and will see the teaser with all his fans on his special day.”
“The teaser will introduce the audience to the world created by Rajkumar Hirani over the last few years. It’s a special film for all the stakeholders and the campaign is going to be special too. Dunki will see a different avatar of SRK, and the audiences are on for a ride this Christmas,” the source added.
The source also mentioned, “The idea is to ensure that the teaser is played in theatres all across the globe with the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3. The teaser will be the first of the many assets that team Dunki plans to launch over the coming few weeks.”
The report mentioned that two versions of the teaser have been created and it is unclear which version has been finalised. The teaser has received a U certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification.
Dunki is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment with Rajkumar Hirani Films and Jio Studios. The film also features Taapsee Pannu as the lead.
