The Vaccine War director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri accepted the National Award for his film The Kashmir Files on Tuesday, October 17, in Delhi. The 69th National Film Awards ceremony took place in the national capital and the filmmaker walked to the stage to accept the prestigious award. The Kashmir Files won the National Award in the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film On National Integration category.
After the ceremony was over, Vivek took to the microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, to express his gratitude for the honour bestowed upon him. He wrote, “Thank you #NationalAwards for this most prestigious award. Award to #TheKashmirFiles is a tribute to all the victims of religious terrorism. Specially, in today’s context it shows what happens when humanity is absent. Thank you to all the citizens of India.”

Along with this caption, Vivek also shared the video played as his introduction at the event, followed by his accepting the award from the President of India, Droupadi Murmu. For the ceremony, Vivek opted for a classic, all-black ensemble. He wore a black blazer over a black shirt and completed his look with matching black pants.
During the ceremony, the filmmaker was seated next to actress Pallavi Joshi, behind Kriti Sanon and Allu Arjun. While Kriti won the award in the Best Actress category for her film Mimi, Allu Arjun won in the Best Actor category for Pushpa: The Rise. Pallavi Joshi also won the National Award for The Kashmir Files but in the Best Supporting Actress category.
Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri also collaborated for The Vaccine War.
