The Bar Council of India (BCI) has released the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XVIII (18) 2023 answer key today, December 12. Candidates who took the exam can check the answer key by visiting the official website at allindiabarexamination.com. The examination was conducted on December 10.

Starting this year, the council raised the AIBE pass percentage for general category candidates from 40 per cent to 45 per cent. While the pass percentage for applicants from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) has increased to 40 per cent from earlier 35 per cent.

AIBE XVIII (18): How to Check Answer Key

Step 1: Go to allindiabarexamination.com.

Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the ‘AIBE 18 answer key’ link.

Step 3: The answer key will open in a PDF format.

Step 4: Cross-check all the details and download the AIBE 18 answer key for further use.

According to the AIBE 18 exam structure, applicants must answer 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) in 3 hours and 30 minutes. In addition, candidate must also record their chosen responses on the given OMR form. The exam is conducted by the council for awarding eligible candidates the Certificate of Practice (COP) for practising law in an Indian court.

Meanwhile, BCI has released the Certificate of Practice (COP) for AIBE-XVII (17). “We would like to inform you that the Certificate of Practice (COP) for AIBE-XVII is now available in the AIBE application,” the council said. The certificate can be downloaded from AIBE APP in the Google Play Store. Candidates can log in with their application, roll number, and date of birth to download the COP.

“If you happen to find any discrepancies in your name, father’s name, or enrolment number, there is an option to edit your details. While correcting your details, the application will prompt you to attach supporting documents. Kindly attach your enrolment certificate for the necessary corrections. The deadline for corrections is 15th December 2023. This is the last and final opportunity to make corrections to your details; after this, no further changes will be allowed. If you encounter any issues, please contact the helpdesk,” the BCI added.
