IIT JAM 2024: Candidates who have any corrections in their application forms can do so on November 20 and resubmit their forms within the stipulated time

The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) will open the modification window for the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM) 2024 on November 20, 2023. Candidates who registered themselves will be able to make changes to their application forms by visiting the official website at jam.iitm.ac.in. “Modification of JAM 2024 Application window opening starts from November 20, 2023. JAM 2024 Registration is Closed,” read the official website. The online application for JAM 2024 commenced on September 5, and concluded on October 25.

Candidates who have errors in their application forms are advised to make corrections and resubmit their forms within the stipulated time. According to reports, IIT Madras will review the applications and verify the information provided by the candidates. If any errors are found, students will be notified by SMS to their registered email address and phone number. If a candidate fails to correct any errors on the application form within the time-frame indicated, his or her application may be denied, reports add.

According to the official schedule, the IIT JAM 2024 exam will be conducted on February 11 next year. The Joint Admission Test for Masters will be held in two shifts: morning and afternoon. The exam for Chemistry, Geology, and Mathematics will be conducted in the morning shift, while the Biotechnology, Economics, Mathematical Statistics, and Physics exam is scheduled for the afternoon shift. A student can sit for one or both of the exam papers. Also, a candidate can appear for two exam papers if they are not scheduled in the same session.

Once the exam is over, the IIT JAM 2024 response and answer key will be released via the JOAPS login. The results for the same will be announced on March 22, 2024, and the scorecards for candidates will be issued on April 2, 2024. With the release of scorecards, the application forms for the admission process will begin on April 10, 2024.

The JAM 2024 exam will be administered in eight zones. The names of these eight zones, as well as a list of zone-specific examination cities, are currently available on the official website. Students must select their first, second, and third city preferences while applying for the JAM 2024.

The JAM 2024 is available to all citizens (both Indian and international), and there is no age limit. It is a computer-based test (CBT) that will be administered in seven test papers at the undergraduate level.

Candidates who pass JAM 2024 will be entitled to apply for admission to about 3,000 seats at IITs for the academic year 2024–25.
