The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the Joint Entrance Examination Main, JEE Main 2024 session 1 registration deadline up till December 4. Candidates interested and eligible can apply on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The exam will be held from January 24 to February 1. The application correction window will remain open from December 6 to 8. The admit card for JEE Main 2024 session 1 will made available three days prior to the exam while the result will be declared on February 12.
“Online submission of applications for the above-mentioned examination is in progress at https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/ from 01.11.2023 onwards. It has been decided to extend the last date for submission of online application form for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) – 2024, enabling the aspiring candidate(s) to apply for the said exam,” states the official notice by NTA.

— Scanned image of the signature of the candidate.
— Scanned image of passport-size photo.
— Category certificate (if applicable).
— Person with Disabilities (PWD) certificate (if applicable).
— Identity proof like an Aadhaar card, bank passbook photo, or ration card.
JEE Main 2024: How to Apply
Step 1: Go to the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Select the registration link for JEE Main 2024 session 1 from the homepage.
Step 3: Fill out the registration form and click the Submit button.
Step 4: Pay the application fees.
Step 5: Download the registration form and take a print out for further use.
There are two papers in JEE Main 2024: paper 1 and paper 2. JEE Main paper 2 is held for admission to BArch and BPlanning courses, whereas JEE Main paper 1 is held for entrance to BE and BTech programmes at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and other institutions or universities.
Candidates who qualify for admission in the NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs must have secured at least 75 per cent marks in the Class 12 examination or are in the top 20 percentile in the examination conducted by respective boards. In the case of SC, ST candidates, a score of around 65 per cent in the class 12 examination is necessary. In addition to that, candidates are also required to pass in each of the subjects of the Class 12 examination.
