Azam Khan accuses EC of 'helping' BJP win Lok Sabha elections
Khan, has been speaking against the EC ever since he was banned from campaigning in UP for his remarks on Kargil war.

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan has accused the Election Commission of helping the Bharatiya Janata Party win the 16th Lok Sabha elections.

He said on Sunday, "EC is helping the BJP to fight the elections which is why Amit Shah is set free after his remarks on Azamgarh."

Khan, who is infamous for courting controversies with his remarks has been speaking against the EC ever since he was banned from campaigning in Uttar Pradesh for his remarks on Kargil war.

A similar ban was imposed on BJP leader and Narendra Modi aide Amit Shah by the poll panel. The EC, however, revoked its decision on Shah after he apologised for his remarks.

Khan had then accused the EC of bias.

Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath while speaking to CNN-IBN said, "Amit shah gave an unconditional apology and promised not to repeat such act while in Azam Khan there was no such thing."
