63. Bansur is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Bansur falls in Alwar district and Matsya region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,20,757 voters in the seat, which includes 1,17,695 male voters, and 1,03,062 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Bansur recorded a voter turnout of 75.34%. In 2013 the turnout was 77.34%, and in 2008 it was 71.8%.
In 2013, Shakuntla Rawat of INC won the seat by a margin of 23,916 votes (16.67%). Shakuntla Rawat secured 49.7% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 12,979 votes (11.03%), registering 35.14% of the total votes polled.
