Bihar: Setback for Lalu as three RJD MLAs resign from party

Patna: In a setback to former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad, three RJD MLAs of Lalu Prasad's RJD has resigned from the party on Sunday afternoon. MLAs who have put in their papers are Ram Lakhan Ram, Samrat Chaudhary and Jawed Ansari.

These legislators had rebelled against RJD leadership in February and warmed up to Nitish Kumar.

While the reason behind their decision is not yet clear, Samrat Chaudhary said that it was following Kumar's resignation. Saw an individual resigning on morality for the first time,so we tendered resignation too," said Samrat Chaudhary sighting reasons behind his resignation.

"We are already working with the JD(U). Our full support is with Nitish Kumar," he added.
