Cash Rush: BJP's Sahasrabuddhe Says People Die in Ration Queues too, Draws Flak
Recently, several people fell ill while some of them died as they lined up in front of heavily crowded banks to get their old currency exchanged.

At a time when common man is suffering in the aftermath of demonetisation of Rs 500 and 1000 currency notes, the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) national vice-president Vinay Sahasrabuddhe has drawn flak for saying that people also die in ration queues too.

Such incidents (people dying in bank queues for exchanging notes) also happen when people stand in queues to take ration, he responded to a question on the deaths of people.

Recently, several people fell ill while some of them died as they lined up in front of heavily crowded banks to get their old currency exchanged.

The senior leader, however, soon realised his mistake and he added that measures would be taken for preventing such unfortunate incidents in future.

Talking to the mediapersons in Bhopal, Sahasrabuddhe urged public to bear hassles by playing satyagrahis.

The BJP leader urged the public to be patient while getting their works done in the banks and also encouraged his party workers to help out those in need.

With most ATMs awaiting recalibration to adjust new currency notes, the banks again saw huge rush of customers seeking to withdraw money and exchange old currency.

What's your reaction?
