88. Dantewada is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Bastar (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Dantewada falls in Dakshin Bastar district and South region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a semi-urban seat.

There are a total of 1,87,641 voters in the seat, which includes 89,591 male voters, and 98,050 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Dantewada recorded a voter turnout of 60.62%. In 2013 the turnout was 61.93%, and in 2008 it was 55.6%.

In 2013, Devati Karma of INC won the seat by a margin of 5,987 votes (5.53%). Devati Karma secured 38.23% of the total votes polled.

BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 12,008 votes (12.41%), registering 38.06% of the total votes polled.
