Don't be disheartened by LS poll loss: Sonia to defeated MPs, leaders

New Delhi: In an effort to instill confidence, Congress President Sonia Gandhi has written letters to Congress leaders who lost elections asking them not to be disheartened by the defeat.

The Congress President told MPs that she had expected them to win but nevertheless they should keep in touch with their constituencies.

She said that leaders should thank the people who voted for them and continue talking about the Congress' policies and flagship schemes. "Leaders should do this to revive the Congress wherever they have been routed", she wrote.
