Haryana elections: BJP fights to combat Congress's 'partiality' in Ambala Cantt
Ambala Cantt, as people say, has been bearing the brunt of election a BJP MLA while the state has had a Congress government in Haryana.

Ambala Cantt: Ambala Cantt, as people say, has been bearing the brunt of election a BJP MLA while the state has had a Congress government in Haryana. While people say Congress candidate Nirmal Singh has done enough for the constituency considering the support he got from the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government, they also feel that the sitting Ambala MLA Anil Viz did not get the state government's support even as he had the ability.

Anil Viz has been running his campaign in the Ambala Cantt promising to take revenge from the Congress government in Haryana for the partiality towards his constituency. Residents of the area too agree with Anil Viz saying he has been a victim of the circumstances.

"Anil Viz has done what he could for the constituency. However, he has been pulled back by the Congress government in Haryana as he belongs to the rival party." He added that it was necessary to have a BJP government in Haryana so as to ensure proper coordination between the Central, state and the local governance," said Ambala Cantt resident Mukesh Sharma.

On the other hand, the residents are also all praise for Congress's Nirmal Singh but they say that he has been successful in his efforts because of Hooda government's support.

Sharma added, "Nirmal Singh has managed to do a lot for the constituency even though he has not been a minister."

While praising the Congress government, shopkeeper Shashikant said, "We are happy with the Congress government as the party managed to resolve the electricity issue."

The people of Ambala Cantt do believe that the Modi wave still persists and had he campaigned in the constituency, the BJP would have swept the seat.
