JDU to contest Assam Assembly polls, Nitish Kumar to campaign
For finalising the list of the party candidates, JDU national general secretary Arun Kumar Srivastav is scheduled to arrive on Monday, the release said.

Guwahati: Janata Dal United has decided to contest the upcoming Assam Assembly elections and its leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar would campaign for the party in the state, said a JD(U) press release.

For finalising the list of the party candidates, JD(U) national general secretary Arun Kumar Srivastav is scheduled to arrive on Monday, the release said.

Srivastav would hold discussions with sections of people before finalising the list, it said. JDU MP K C Tyagi is also scheduled to campaign, the release added. Assam will go to polls in two phases on April 4 and 11.
