Rajahmundry: Congress Kakinada Lok Sabha constituency nominee and Union Minister for Human Resources Development MM Pallam Raju said on Tuesday that Kakinada would be developed as an information technology hub.
"We are planning to develop Kakinada as an information technology hub to generate employment for locals. This will help development of the industrial sector with available human resources in the district," Pallam Raju said.
Former minister and retired Andhra Pradesh DGP PV Rangaiah Naidu said it was "incorrect" to assume that Congress had distanced itself from the people due Andhra Pradesh's bifurcation.
Addressing a press conference at Pallam Raju's residence, he said, "We are receiving a good response from the public during election campaigning in the constituency".
"Some people felt that Congress had distanced itself from the public due to Andhra Pradesh's bifurcation, but it is incorrect. People understood the reality and the developmental progress launched by Congress for the residual state of Andhra Pradesh," he said. He claimed that all people are happy due to schemes launched by Congress.
