167. Kapasan is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Chittorgarh Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Kapasan falls in Chittorgarh district and South region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,48,678 voters in the seat, which includes 1,25,083 male voters, and 1,23,595 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Kapasan recorded a voter turnout of 77.09%. In 2013 the turnout was 78.23%, and in 2008 it was 61%.
In 2013, Arjun Lal Jeengar of BJP won the seat by a margin of 30,246 votes (17.06%). Arjun Lal Jeengar secured 54.27% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 6,654 votes (5.18%), registering 39.02% of the total votes polled.
