185. Khargone is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Khargone (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Khargone falls in Khargone district and Malwa Tribal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,19,764 voters in the seat, which includes 1,13,131 male voters, and 1,06,631 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Khargone recorded a voter turnout of 79.42%. In 2013 the turnout was 77.36%, and in 2008 it was 73.86%.
In 2013, Balkrishan Patidar of BJP won the seat by a margin of 6,825 votes (4.43%). Balkrishan Patidar secured 48.38% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 24,750 votes (22.04%), registering 53.15% of the total votes polled.
