Panaji: High voter turnout was witnessed in two Lok Sabha constituencies in Goa with 75 per cent polling taking place on Saturday.
Nearly 74.65 per cent voting was registered in the coastal state till 5 pm.
76.3 per cent voting was registered in North Goa while 73.06 per cent voting was registered in South Goa.
Over a million voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in North Goa and South Goa constituencies. The total electorate is evenly balanced between men and women.

According to local media reports, he is finding the going not so easy in the South Goa constituency which has returned a Congress candidate 10 times in 14 Lok Sabha polls. On 12 instances, the candidate has been a Roman Catholic.
