New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann is unlikely to get ticket for the Punjab Assembly Elections, sources in the party said on Thursday.
Mann recently landed in controversy after he shot a video on July 21 while entering the parliament premises as his vehicle crosses the security barricades. "I'll today show you something you would not have seen earlier," he was heard saying in the video.
Then, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan had constituted a nine-member committee to probe the video after opposition leaders demanded stern action against him for exposing Parliament's security.
Other party leaders including Succha Singh Chhotepur, Sadhu Singh is also unlikely to get AAP tickets for the state elections.
"First AAP candidate list for Punjab won't have big names. The party has decided to give preference to volunteers in first Punjab list," party sources said.
