New Delhi: After Android Lollipop, Google is likely to unveil the next version of its popular operating system, dubbed Android M, at its annual developers conference this year.
Google released the schedule for its Google I/O 2015 and in all likelihood, the search giant could be previewing Android M at the two-day event scheduled from May 28.
The Next Web reports that Google hasn’t officially announced the next version of Android, but a reference was spotted under the Android for Work Update Session as per its schedule.
It read, “Android M is bringing the power of Android to all kinds of workplaces. This opens huge new markets for hundreds of millions of devices to workers at small business, deskless workers, logistics and warehousing jobs; all be empowered by adoption of Android devices at Work.”
The details have been removed from the schedule since the mention on various information portals. If Google unveils Android M, it will be the 10th major update to the operating system since it was first released six years ago.
