The two French designers are collaborating with the Korean manufacturer for a one-off television, the "Serif," presented at the London Design Festival, running from September 19 to 27.
The "Serif" goes against the current trend of flat screen televisions. Instead of blending into its surroundings, it takes the form of an actual piece of furniture, like a couch or an armoire.
Easily handled, it can be placed on another piece of furniture or simply on the floor on its legs.
The "Serif" has a traditional look from the front and its profile recalls a capital "I" that widens at the base at the top to form a level surface.
The set is available in three colors (white, dark blue and red) and three sizes: "Serif classique," "Serif medium" and "Serif mini." The latter two models come with legs.
Presented at the London Design Festival, the "Serif" will be will go on sale November 2.
The designer brothers have previously collaborated with several design studios, notably Hay and Cappellini. They have also been exhibited in several museums, including the Design Museum in London and the Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
