New Delhi: Ahead of the release of the highly anticipated ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, Google wants to give fans a chance to show their love for the popular sci-fi series.

The search giant has introduced a dedicated portal to help you choose sides and transform the way you experience Google products.

You get to choose from the Light or the Dark side and as soon as you allow the extension to make the changes, right from your Gmail to the calendar, every app is transformed to reflect the chosen side.

To restore the earlier settings, simply click on the 'Back to Default' option on the page that asks for choosing sides.

Built in collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm, google.com/starwars is part of Google’s tribute to the epic series.

There are also a couple of Easter Eggs hidden in the search tool. If you type out “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away” in the search bar and hit enter, the search results are shown in the signature Star Wars crawl style, complete with music in the background.

Another Easter Egg hidden in the map of Google's own data center takes you around the search giant's office, in search for a droid, which we still haven't been able to discover. Just follow the arrows on the floor to take the tour.

In his blog post, Clay Bavor, VP of Product Management, says that more of the Star Wars fan-stuff is on its way prior to the release, including the Millennium Falcon in Google Cardboard VR headset.

What's your reaction?
