Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 6.1.1 upgrade for Galaxy S24 units in parts of the US, Europe and India after several delays. One UI 6.1.1 is making its way to more Galaxy handsets, including the Galaxy S24 series. The South Korean smartphone manufacturer said at a press conference held during IFA 2024 in Berlin. One UI 6.1.1 is based on Android 14 and contains some of the latest Galaxy AI features, along with system upgrades.
According to reports, the One UI 6.1.1 update is now available for smartphones in India. The patch is approximately 3GB in size, but according to pictures published by a few websites, it contains the August 2024 security patch rather than the most recent September security update. If you live in one of the above countries, go to Settings > Software > System updates to see if One UI 6.1.1 is available for your Samsung Galaxy.
Meanwhile, the new AI capabilities of One UI 6.1.1 include “Listening Mode” in Interpreter, “Composer” for Chat Assist, and “Suggested Replies” from the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which is available on select smartphones including the Galaxy S24 series. In addition, “PDF Overlay Translation” will be added to the Samsung Notes app, along with other Note Assist upgrades, and “Sketch to Image” will allow you to add more content to existing photographs based on a rough drawing.
