The police staged two cases for the little boy including a puppy rescue and jersey theft.

In a heartwarming gesture by the Orlando Police Department in Florida, a kindergartener finally lived his dream of “becoming a police officer". Stone Hicks, a four-year-old fighting kidney disease, was included in the OPD’s team for the day, allowing him to suit up and become a cop. The Orlando Police, in collaboration with the Make-a-Wish Foundation, extended the extremely sweet gesture to Stone and his family. It was a dream come true moment for the “Paw Patrol" fan, as he not only got a brand new uniform but was also sworn in as a cop by the police chief in a formal ceremony.

Pictures going viral on social media show Stone taking part in the swearing-in ceremony amid cheering fans and supporters. The Orlando Police also shared pictures and videos of “Officer Stone" in his mini cop car as the kid poses with the other officers. “Stone, thank YOU for your courage, not only in helping us today solve crime, but also being an inspiration to the entire community," the caption read.

Further, the police also staged two cases for Stone to deal with, including a puppy rescue and jersey theft. In the first one, the four-year-old successfully rescued a puppy from a “bad guy" and returned it to the owner, while the second case involved him arresting someone for “stealing" the retired jersey of a former Orlando City Soccer star.

The visuals shared from Stone’s fun and adventure-filled day show how he carried out his duties as an officer.

The videos caught a lot of attention on the internet, as the police department’s initiative moved people. A user wrote, “Thank you for making this happen," while another commented, “You were absolutely amazing!"

Another user wrote, “Looks like Officer Stone had a very productive and safe day. Great job Officer Stone!"

An emotional user lauded the department’s efforts and wrote, “Teary-eyed because that is absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you OPD!"

While the internet is full of praise for the heartwarming gesture for the little kid, Anne Cuba, the president of Make-A-Wish, also spoke on the same. “Our kids go through so much when they battle their critical illness, and so we’re here to celebrate him and help give him the strength and joy in his life," she told a local outlet, WSVN.
