Theme parks are not just attractions for children but also for adults seeking a magical experience. While Disneyland remains a dream destination for many, a theme park in the Netherlands has recently gained attention for being touted as a better and more affordable alternative. Efteling, located in Kaatsheuvel, is capturing global interest for its enchanting fairy tale-themed ambience.
Established in May 1952, Efteling began as a nature park with a playground and a forest. Over the years, it has transformed into a fantasy-themed amusement park, incorporating cultural, romantic and nostalgic themes alongside a variety of rides, including roller coasters and dark rides. As the largest theme park in the Netherlands and one of the oldest globally, Efteling offers a unique and magical experience for visitors of all ages.
Recently, the park opened a new theme suite at the Efteling Hotel, known as The Droomvlucht Suite. Inspired by the theme park itself, this suite can accommodate up to five people and features a spacious four-poster bed, bunk beds and a secret sleeping area. The room is adorned with flowers and trees, creating a fairytale-like atmosphere. Additionally, it includes a swamper keyboard for children to enjoy, along with amenities such as a private bathroom, coffee machine and a mini-fridge for guest comfort.
According to the official website, the cost of a night in The Droomvlucht Suite starts from Rs 60,000, inclusive of breakfast and a two-day pass to the Efteling Park for two people.
The hotel also offers several other themed suites, adding to the enchantment of the stay. These include suites inspired by classic fairy tales such as Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella and Hansel and Gretel.
Efteling’s commitment to creating a magical and immersive experience makes it an appealing alternative to globally renowned theme parks. As travellers seek unique and memorable adventures, Efteling’s fairy tale charm continues to draw attention, offering a delightful escape into a world of fantasy and wonder.
