Nothing can beat the beauty of the Himalayas. Indian people who love mountains often visit the northern region of the country to enjoy the majestic view of hilly terrains and snow-clad peaks. Nowadays, states like Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have also become popular destinations for pre-wedding photoshoots, with couples capturing their love in the foothills of the Himalayas. Diving into the trend, social media influencer Aarya Voraa and her fiance Ranjeet Srinivas recently visited the Spiti Valley for their dream pre-wedding shoot. While posing for the camera, Aarya could not endure the minus temperature longer, suffering hypothermia.
The couple was accompanied by a group of photographers and videographers, who had already planned the frames. In the script, there was a scene where Aarya Voraa and Ranjeet Srinivas were to walk through the snow-covered valley in the backdrop of beautiful mountains amid -22 degrees Celsius.

Aarya picked a sleeveless black gown for the particular shoot and his dress was not enough to battle the biting cold. She later shared a behind-the-scenes video of the pre-wedding shoot on Instagram. A text on the video reads, “POV: Dying in -22 degrees Celsius for a pre-wedding in Spiti Valley.”
Sharing her experience, Aarya wrote in the caption, “Would you dare to do this? I was freezing to death, but we had to capture the walking shot of both of us. Afterwards, I got hypothermia.” According to her, the pain felt like someone was “pouring acid on her hands”. Despite the difficulties, the shoot was successfully wrapped up.
Aarya attached some glimpses of the final video to the Instagram reel. She further thanked her fiance Ranjeet Srinivas and friends, who accompanied her during the video shoot. “I’m so glad that my Ranjeet and all our other friends endured the cold with me. This had been manifesting for a year. And everything happened in the same way.”
Despite Aarya’s courageous attempt, social media buffs lashed out at her for prioritising pictures over health. “It’s funny and sad to see how important pictures have become! Someone’s ready to trade their life for a shot,” commented a viewer. Another simply wrote, “Unnecessary ways to die.” Since surfacing on the internet, the Instagram reel has garnered more than 18 million views while accumulating over 490,000 likes.
