Internet Angry Over This Video Of Tiger Picking Up Plastic Bottle From Forest Waterhole

A video of a tiger picking up a plastic bottle from a forest waterhole has gone viral raising concerns over pollution in even the most pristine natural habitats. Shot by wildlife photographer Deep Kathikar, the moment captures a magnificent tiger strolling away holding a bottle in its mouth.

The tiger in the video is the cub of Tigress Bhanuskhindi, according to wildlife photographer Kathikar, and this “powerful clip” makes a strong point about how important it is to preserve the environment. After picking up the plastic bottle, which was thrown into the waterhole, the animal is seen walking away in the clip.

“Sweet gesture by the Tiger. We will try to keep our jungles clean. Cub of Bhanuskhindi, Ramdegi Hills,” Kathikar captioned the post.

Social media users were saddened as well as enthralled by this wildlife spectacle. “It’s beautiful and sad at the same time. I feel ashamed that a tiger had to clean up after us,” a user wrote.

A few wildlife enthusiasts also voiced their opinions in the post’s comments section. The same video also surfaced on X, formERLY Twitter, after Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Susanta Nanda posted it on his official handle.

Nanda shared the video and asked, “Please stop carrying plastics & styrofoams into the wilderness.” He also questioned, “Why should the wild clean the garbage of the (un)civilised?”

Nanda revealed in another post that the tiger picked up the plastic bottle and threw it in front of the videographer’s car.

He went on to say, “The message was loud and clear to all of us.”
