It would not be wrong to say that the internet never sleeps as people continue to post on social media almost every hour of the day. With billions of people across the globe, social media has emerged as a major platform, helping people to share their views and perspectives. Considering the way information and communication technology have changed rapidly over the past two decades, the emergence of social media has accelerated the change, thus bringing more new ideas and views to the fore. That being said, people often indulge in discussions on multiple topics that are both informative and entertaining.
In a recent one, a discussion about women dating or marrying “green flag men” has caught the internet’s attention.
For the unversed, green flags and red flags are the new stuff that has shaped Gen Z’s dating scene. While red flags warn people that their partners are not as good as they seem like, the green flags represent that their significant others are kind-hearted and genuine people.
A user recently took to the X platform and shared a question, seeking responses from women who are married or are dating ‘green flag men’. In response to the question, while many shared their own views about their green flag partners, a section of users were seen getting offended.
Internet reacts to ‘green flag men’ relationships
“Women who are married to/dating green flag men, where & how did you meet them & how long till you realised they’re green flags?,” the user wrote.

Taking to the comment section, a user wrote, “Does arranged marriage meet count? Has zero ego. Open to feedback, relentless love that he showers, also he is a great cook,” while another one wrote, “Through a mutual (male) friend who had sent him to pick us girls up because our friend was stuck somewhere. When it comes to green flags, you just know. It’s a feeling of relief.. like you’re home. It was always like this with him. Married for 16 yrs now.”
“In med school,he was my junior and tried so hard to get to date me, i just knew he was good for my heart from his tiny actions, ff two years and he has genuinely given me everything I could ask for, from love to support to advice he just gives and gives. He makes me the happiest,” a third user commented.

Met in final year of college. Emotionally supportive from the start, never raised his voice on me, helped me heal my past traumas, challenges my growth, loves my little sisters, very kind and cheerful giver, makes effort to understand me when we both aren't at the same page. ❤️— Britney ???? Met him via a basketball community, immediately knew he's a green flag.— Dravisha (@dravishakatoch) December 23, 2023
First day of college. Realised he was a green flag fairly quickly when my parents were against it because he was not Indian, and I had to REALLY scrutinise his actions and behaviour to fight my parents for us ????— WarGal92 (@WGal92) December 22, 2023
Met him in school, 8th grade. We barely knew each other when we dated then cause what personality you even have at that age right? Took me 8 years to understand the amazing person that he is. It’s his consistency that blows my mind. He is it for me!

In the meantime, the user also took a dig at those posting opposing comments. “Some deranged men are whining under a wholesome post like this too…” the additional tweet read.
