Street Vendor's Coffee-Infused Maggi Is A Red Flag From Miles Away
A video showcasing the preparation of coffee Maggi has surfaced online, sparking a wave of confusion and disbelief.

Maggi is undeniably a comfort food loved by almost everyone. While some prefer it simple, others delight in adding veggies and a sprinkle of spices. However, one variation that may not appeal to all tastebuds is Maggi made with coffee. Agree? Well, a video showcasing the preparation of coffee Maggi has surfaced online, sparking a wave of confusion and disbelief among online users.

The video shared by Hnv Street Food on Instagram shows the vendor beginning by boiling milk before adding Maggi noodles. He then includes chopped vegetables such as tomatoes, capsicum, and onions, followed by Maggi masala for a burst of flavour. After thoroughly mixing all the ingredients, he adds a spoonful of coffee powder. But that’s not all! The vendor also sprinkles haldi, or turmeric, over the mixture. After the dish is fully cooked and the noodles are done, the vendor serves it to the customer. Upon observing the preparation, the customer seems unsure about the dish and asks the vendor to taste it first, assuring him that if everything goes well, he’ll give it a try too.

The video wraps up with the customer bravely taking a bite and unexpectedly finding the dish delightful. He expresses his amazement by exclaiming, “Bhai damdaar hai. Shabd nahi rahe” (Brother, it tastes excellent. I am speechless).

Since being shared a few days ago, the video has garnered over 3,00,000 views and nearly 3,400 likes. Social media platforms were inundated with comments expressing both disbelief and amusement at the weird combination of coffee and Maggi noodles. A user humorously questioned, “Hamesha Maggi ke saath hi aise experiment kyun hote hai (Why are such experiments always conducted with Maggi?),” while another quipped, “When you can’t afford both Maggi and cold coffee together, just mix it, because mom only gave money for Maggi.”

A user jokingly referred to the creation as “Caffeine wale Maggi hai yeh.” Another emphasised their reluctance, stating, “Milk I can adjust but not coffee.”

Maggi has long been a canvas for culinary experimentation, with many individuals exploring unconventional ways to prepare it. In this video, a man created a unique dish by cooking Maggi noodles in cold coffee. He poured the coffee into a frying pan, followed by adding crushed Maggi noodles to the mixture. He then added capsicum, chopped onion, red chili, coriander, and Maggi masala. To further enhance the dish, he sprinkled cocoa powder before finally plating the cold coffee Maggi and topping it off with a generous drizzle of tomato ketchup.
