This American Man's Observation Of Indian Male Behaviour Is As Accurate As It Gets
An American man who has been living in India for a while now, recently shared his observations about 'Indian men going into lecture mode'.

The ‘habit of Indian men giving never ending lectures on any topic’ seems to have caught the attention of people from other countries. John, an American resident who has been living in India for a while now, recently shared his observations about mens going into lecture mode and stretching conversations for no reason at all. In a video posted on Instagram, the content creator shared a funny story where a husband was taken aback when his wife suggested that he should listen to John’s advice. Since the video was shared online, the comments section has been filled with people agreeing to his point of view, while others are sharing their own experience of receiving lengthy lectures.

The content creator said, “I have lived in India for a while now and I realized that Indian men easily go into lecture mode. What I mean is that I could say one sentence and all of a sudden I’m getting a 30 minute lecture. I didn’t even say or do anything wrong and I’m still getting a lecture. Sometimes it’s something they don’t know anything about. For example, I might say something about American culture and they’re lecturing me about American culture. One time an Indian wife told her husband, ‘You know if you actually listen to John, you might learn something.’ He was completely shocked about the idea of listening to me. It’s like he had no idea it was an option.”

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “No one prepared me for how triggered Indian men get when confronted with a woman who doesn’t subscribe to their version of reality.”

Another shared, “We are so good at lecturing others but really bad at applying in life.”

“You just met Sharma ji ka papa,” a comment read.

Another wrote, “Here even house maids give lectures to land ladies on marital issues. Everyone lectures everyone in India.”

An individual shared, “It’s because In India, social skills are not taught at school level so that how to take turns while talking and sometimes listening is important etc. They also think they would look more intelligent if they impart all the knowledge they have to others without thinking that the other person didn’t even ask for it.”

One more added, “You are yet to experience a lecture from an Indian granny.”

Since the video was shared on Instagram, it has garnered over 7 lakh views.
