Living in the best foreign countries is a dream for many. But relocating is not an easy task. One needs to invest a lot of money to buy a home, land, or start a business there to make a proper living. You will be surprised to know that there are many places around the globe that need new residents to increase their population. Those countries are happy to pay for it. Yes, you read that right. There are some countries around the world that pay people to relocate and settle. One such place is Tulsa in Oklahoma, America. It is known as the world’s largest small town. According to reports, the population here is about 411,000; every year, thousands of tourists come to see this beautiful city. The local government wants to populate it more. As a result, several kinds of alluring offers are being made.
Recently, the Tulsa Remote Program published a notice that read, “If you are looking for a fresh start, Tulsa is ready to welcome you. Make Tulsa your destination. We are ready to provide you with an assistance of 10 thousand dollars ( approximately Rs 8 lakh) to build a new house here.” The program’s objective is to grow Tulsa’s population. So that more individuals move here and settle. The administration will also provide jobs for the people living here along with other necessary help.
There are some conditions as well. According to reports, candidates may need to meet certain requirements in order to be considered, including being able to work in the US, having a full-time remote job outside of Oklahoma, and having resided outside of the state for a year prior to applying. In addition, they have to be able to relocate to Tulsa within a year after being accepted into the program and be at least eighteen years old.
Along with this, selected applicants will be required to go through a 30-minute English-language virtual interview with program staff and pass a background check and income verification. The $10,000 grant will be provided through monthly disbursements to renters or homebuyers, or as a lump sum after purchasing a qualifying home. More than 2,500 remote workers have already moved to Tulsa, according to the program.
Vermont, a mountainous state in the US that produces cheddar cheese and the famous Ben & Jerrys ice cream, only had around 620,000 people live in the state earlier. Thus, in May of 2018, Governor Phil Scott of Vermont signed a bill establishing a state program that provides $10,000 to individuals who agree to relocate to Vermont and work remotely for a company based outside the state.
