An Instagram account claiming to be Austin’s top restaurant is turning heads with its mouthwatering food photos, like the Beekeeper’s Lemon Lavender Cheesecake, Moo Deng shaped Croissants, Chicken Wing Bouquets and Shrimp Doughnuts. Adding to its charm, they even claim that billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk have worked behind the bar. However, there’s a twist, as this restaurant doesn’t actually exist. Known as Ethos, the account posts hyper realistic images created entirely using artificial intelligence (AI), which has left many stunned. The posts have gained thousands of likes and comments, mainly from bot accounts, helping the fictional eatery reach a wider audience. Interestingly, there are few users who still believe Ethos is a real place.
What’s even more intriguing is that the fictional restaurant has fake chefs and managers, along with numerous awards that are entirely fabricated. Ethos also has a website where visitors can make reservations, starting at 4:30 AM on the first Monday of every month, but when you try to reserve a spot, you’ll be taken to a hilarious page. People can also buy their merchandise. The posts have gone viral and people are joking about tech moguls’ involvement in a non-existent dining place.
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “This is hilarious but I don’t think there’s a single universe where Elon is a good mixologist.”

Ethos also aims to be eco friendly while creating dishes that are not only good for the body but also comforting for the soul.
