Watch: Elderly Man Takes His Pet Rat Out For A Train Ride On Christmas

Loving your pets and pampering them is never a crime, but people often avoid taking them out to certain places. This is to avoid causing difficulties to others in public places. One viral clip has however proven otherwise. The love for pets surpasses everything else, it seems. The case in point is a man who took his pet rat to public transport, metro, to celebrate Christmas Day. The surprising video has been shared on Instagram. In the video, the aged man can be seen kissing his rat and gazing at him lovingly. The black and white rat looks adorable with a Santa cap tied around its neck. Sharing the video, the Instagram user wrote, “Man brings his festive pet rat aboard public transit.” Soon after the video was shared on the Internet, people started pouring in their reactions, and the clip went viral. One of the users wrote, “Rats are very intelligent. Was my favourite pet as a kid.” Another user commented on the video, “You love who you love!!!” A third said, “Maybe a very lonely old man; who clearly really loves his pet rat; It’s lovely to see.”

Another video made rounds on the Internet earlier this year which displayed a man threatening people with his pet rat at Oak Grove Station in Malden, Massachusetts. The man, Jeffrey Stuart, was arrested by the police, while the rat named Jerry was turned over to animal control.

The incident saw Stuart yelling at people at the station, while also putting the rat near their faces. In addition to that, the man also allegedly had an open bottle of vodka with him. He was told to leave the station. Despite this, he returned and tried to get back in, followed by allegedly swearing at officers, taking out the rat, and threatening the officers.
