In a candid interview with Forbes, Zomato CEO’s shared anecdotes of his courtship with Kanchan Joshi. Both were part of the Mathematics and Computing department at IIT-Delhi, where Goyal admitted to admiring her from afar before mustering the courage to pursue her, eventually becoming friends and hanging out together.

Joshi, now a Mathematics professor at Delhi University, maintains a private stance on the circumstances surrounding her separation from Goyal. The couple reportedly shares a daughter named Siara.
