According to reports, one attacker has been detained while the hunt is on for others.
At least two persons were killed and as many as 17 others injured in shooting at Club Blu nightclub in Fort Myers in western Florida.
The shooting took place on early hours of Monday morning.
Reports said a lone gunman entered the nightclub and started shooting indiscriminately during a "teen event". There is heavy police presence outside the nightclub and the area has been cordoned off.
