At least 9 people were dead after multiple shooting was reported from Munich in Germany after shots were fired in a shopping centre on Friday evening, a police spokesperson was quoted as telling CNN.
As per local media reports from Germany the toll could rise after gunmen went on rampage in at least two different parts of the city.
A major police operation is under way at the Olympia Einkaufszentrum shopping mall in Moosach district.

The authorities had warned of the danger of further attacks.
Reports had suggested the presence of only one attacker but the Munich police believes the presence of more than one shooter.
"We believe we are dealing with a shooting rampage," a police spokeswoman told Reuters.
No one has been taken into custody yet.
Helicopters are said to be flying over the scene and workers were unable to leave their shops.
Latest reports said the firing has stopped and that the area around the shopping mall has been sealed off.
Security forces have been on alert in Germany after a migrant stabbed five people on a train in Bavaria on Monday.
Munich police however are telling people to avoid the area.
