Hillary Clinton has won the Democratic primary contest in Mississippi, US networks said on Tuesday, adding to a string of victories over her party rival Bernie Sanders.
The Republican White House nomination vote in the southern state was deemed too close to call right away, although CNN projected a win for the frontrunner Donald Trump.
Very early results were also coming in from northern Michigan -- the other big prize in Tuesday's contests where the bulk of polling places close an hour after Mississippi.
Early results suggested Trump was neck-and-neck with John Kasich in Michigan, while on the Democratic side Sanders was projected to have taken the lead over Clinton.
Republican voters also have their say Tuesday in a primary in Idaho and a caucus in Hawaii.
