Royal Enfield‘s dominance in the 350cc segment, featuring chart-toppers like Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350, and Super Meteor 350, remains unchallenged.
Now, it’s gearing up for the launch of the Goan Classic 350, a bike set to expand its entry-level range, as reported by Rushlane. This new addition is expected to take on a bobber-style design, spotted multiple times during road tests in recent months.
Similar to the Classic 350, the Goan Classic 350 will have its unique twists, notably taller handlebars—a signature feature of bobber motorcycles. These taller bars promise added comfort, especially during long rides, though their impact might vary based on a rider’s height and physique. They also offer benefits like better posture, improved control over tough terrains, and enhanced stability.
The upcoming Goan Classic 350 might also feature alterations in seat design and height, with a test mule revealing the possibility of a rear pillion seat, either as a separate variant or an accessory. Expect slight forward-set footpegs for added comfort. Cosmetic updates, such as teal-colored tire walls reminiscent of vintage 60s motorcycles, further accentuate the retro vibe unique to the Goan Classic 350.
While retaining most hardware from the Classic 350, the Goan variant opts for a mild bobber appearance instead of a full-fledged makeover. This decision helps control development and production costs while providing a fresh bobber experience. Notably, the Goan Classic 350 maintains the same 1,390mm wheelbase, common suspension and braking setup, and the iconic 349cc air-oil cooled, single-cylinder engine generating 20.2 bhp of power and 27 Nm of torque. Paired with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox, the engine promises a thrilling ride for enthusiasts.
While it brings in a fresh bobber style, the Goan Classic 350 holds onto the essence of the Classic 350’s hardware, promising an exciting blend of tradition and innovation in Royal Enfield’s lineup.
