Lucknow Super Giants all-rounder Krunal Pandya has become a father for the second time. The India cricketer revealed the birth of a baby boy today, April 26, on social media platform X. As per Krunal Pandya’s post, his son Vayu Krunal Pandya was born five days ago on April 21.
Krunal has uploaded three pictures in which he can be seen holding his elder son Kavir in his arms. His wife Pankhuri Sharma is seated beside him while holding the newborn. The Pandya family was all smiles as they welcomed the latest addition to their family.

In his post, the LSG all-rounder wrote, “Vayu Krunal Pandya 21.04.24”. Fellow cricketers including Dinesh Karthik, Yuzvendra Chahal and Shikhar Dhawan were amongst the first ones to congratulate the couple.

Krunal Pandya and Pankhuri Sharma have been married since December 27, 2017. The couple welcomed their first son Kavir two years ago on July 18, 2022. They celebrated Kavir’s first birthday last year, sharing a post on Instagram.
The duo had uploaded two pictures with their baby boy on the platform and wrote, “Happy 1st to our boy, who stole our hearts from the moment we held him in our arms. We love you so much”. The heartwarming post attracted a reaction from LSG skipper KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya’s wife Natasha Stankovic.

Krunal Pandya announced himself to the world during his stint with the Mumbai Indians from 2016 to 2021. Playing alongside his brother Hardik Pandya, the cricketing duo became a part of the franchise’s most successful era and won multiple trophies together.

In 2022, Krunal left for the Lucknow Super Giants whereas his brother Hardik joined the Gujarat Titans as skipper. Krunal had also donned the skipper role last year after KL Rahul withdrew from IPL 2023 due to an injury. Despite the promotion, the all-rounder was just unable to find the flow that season, scoring just 188 runs while taking nine wickets in the 15 matches he played. His team’s campaign was put to an end by his former franchise Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator.

Krunal Pandya hasn’t been able to make much impact this season either. The all-rounder has played eight games for the Lucknow Super Giants this year and scored 58 runs. On the bowling front, he has scalped five wickets at an economy of 7.43. As for the team’s performances, Lucknow have gradually made their way up into the top four with five wins in eight games. They are next set to face the table-toppers Rajasthan Royals tomorrow, April 27, at the Ekana Sports City Stadium.
