The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Engineering Services Examination or UPSC ESE 2025. The application process began today, September 18 on the official website, upsconline.nic.in. The last date to apply is October 8. This recruitment drive aims to fill up 232 posts in the organisation.
“The number of vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination is expected to be approximately 232 including 12 vacancies for the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) ( 7 vacancies for Locomotor Disability including Leprosy cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack victims and Muscular Dystrophy and 5 vacancies for Hard of Hearing. The number of vacancies is liable to alteration,” reads the official notice by UPSC.
UPSC ESE 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed graduation in engineering to be eligible to apply for the exam.
Age Limit: A candidate must be at least 21 years of age and must not have attained the age of 30 years as on January 1, 2025.
UPSC ESE 2025: How to Apply?
Step 1 – Go to the official website of UPSC ESE — upsconline.nic.in.
Step 2 – Register yourself using the required credentials.
Step 3 – Fill in the application form and upload the necessary documents.
Step 4 – Pay the application fees.
Step 5 – Submit the form.
Step 6 – Save and download the acknowledgment form for further use.
UPSC ESE 2025: Application Fees
The application fee is Rs 200 for candidates of all all categories except female, SC, ST, and PwBD category candidates who are exempted from paying any application fees.
UPSC ESE 2025: Selection Process
The selection process of the exam comprises of prelims examination. Those who clear the prelims will be allowed to appear for the main examination. This will be followed by an interview round. Recruitment on the results of this examination will be made to the services/ posts under four categories, which include — civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and electronics and telecommunication engineering.
