Try this delectable treat from Shivesh Bhatia, who is also the author of the bestseller cookbook "Eggless Baking With Shivesh"

Self-taught baker and food blogger Shivesh Bhatia recently took to Instagram to help beginners with an easy-to-make vegetarian cake recipe. The recipe’s main star is none other than the popular hazelnut cocoa spread- Nutella. If that was not enough to invite you to give their culinary skills a whirl with this recipe, the preparation provides the add-on benefit of not having to clean up (or even own) an oven! Try this scrumptious delight from Bhatia, who also happens to be the author of a cookbook titled “Eggless Baking With Shivesh".

Now, follow these steps:

  1. To make the spongy no-oven, eggless Nutella cake, start off by taking a big mixing bowl. To this, add the oil, castor sugar, yoghurt, and milk. Mix it well with a batter whisk.
  2. The next step is to add the magic ingredients that will give the dessert that rich, chocolatey taste we all crave! Add the Nutella spread and mix with a spatula. You could always up the quantity of the chocolate based on your taste.
  3. Next, mix in all the powders- the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda. Whisk the batter till there are no lumps left. You should have a rather thick consistency at this point.
  4. Once that is done, it is time to pour the batter into a pan. Bhatia suggests that you grease the pan with oil and line it with parchment paper before pouring in the batter. Give the pan light taps to set the batter in.
  5. The last step is to cook the mix for 50-55 minutes on the lowest possible heat setting. The chef-cum-author insists that you always cover the pan with a lid and cook on low heat on an induction stove.
  6. Once the waiting is up, turn the pan upside down, pull out the cake and set it on a plate for garnishing. You can use chocolate ganache, chocolate chips, or even more Nutella for this!

Take off your chef hat and apron, and enjoy the delight you just made!
