Father and brother of the deceased, who reached the village after the incident, have lodged a dowry harassment complaint against the absconding in-laws, police said. The victim's family members also claimed that the dispute over dowry demands by Asha Devi's in-laws was an old one and a complaint was earlier lodged, but a compromise was later reached with police intervention.
