SANGAREDDY: Five of a family from Medak including two women, died in a mishap when their four-wheeler fell off a bridge into a valley near Shapur in Yadgiri district in Karnataka in the wee hours of Friday.The victims were on their way to Sri Manjunatha Swamy temple at Dharmasthala in Karnataka.According to information reaching here, Kulkarni Prakash Rao (49), a headmaster in a government high school at Nallavagu in Kalher mandal of Medak district was on a pilgrimage to Dharmasthala along with his daughter Jyothi (25), niece Lalitha (18), cousin Rama Rao (30) and driver Sadanandam (30). They were residents of Venkatapuram village in Narayankhed mandal of Medak district.Police suspect that the driver Sadanandam might have lost control over the vehicle on the bridge near Shapur and the vehicle must have hit the railing before falling into the valley. Some locals informed the police about the accident.The bodies have been sent for postmortem and are likely to arrive in Venkatapuram on Saturday. A pal of gloom descended on the village on hearing the news.
