The Indian Air Force has announced new vacancies for Agniveer positions under the Agnipath scheme, offering a promising opportunity for those with Class 10 education. Applications for the Agniveer (Non-Combatant Intake 01/2025) are now open, and interested candidates are encouraged to apply offline.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be unmarried, born between January 2, 2004, and July 2, 2007, and have completed their tenth-grade education. Physical requirements include a minimum height of 152 cm, an expandable chest of at least 5 cm, and the ability to complete a 1.6 km run in 6 minutes 30 seconds. Additionally, applicants must perform 20 sit-ups in one minute and 10 push-ups in one minute.

Application and Selection Process

The application process begins today and is free of charge. The selection involves a written examination, physical fitness test, stream stability test, document verification, and medical examination.

Salary and Benefits

Selected Agniveers will receive a monthly salary of Rs 30,000 in the first year, with Rs 9,000 deducted for a corpus fund, resulting in an in-hand salary of Rs 21,000. In the second year, Agniveers will get a salary of Rs 33,000 with a 10% increase. In this way, after the deduction, his in-hand salary will be 23,100. In the third year, these hand salary will be Rs 36,500. Salaries increase progressively over four years, reaching Rs 40,000 in the final year.
