Apartment of accused traced in Bangalore

KOCHI: The Kerala Police on Saturday traced the luxury apartment of Saju Kadavilan, one of the accused in the Apple A Day scam, in Bangalore. The apartment was found locked and the police said that the Benz car belonging to Saju was found in the parking area of the building. The police have so far registered 76 cases against Saju Kadavilan and Rajeev Cheruvara for duping people who had invested money in several real estate projects of Apple A day Properties.Mother of accused moves court for bailThe Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court has postponed the hearing on the anticipatory bail application of Laila, mother of Saju Kadavilan, the prime accused in the Apple A Day cheating case to Monday.Laila had filed an anticipatory bail application stating that since Saju was absconding the police have been visiting her house in search of her son and therefore the police may include her name also in the list of accused.The police have started probing the role of certain bank officials in the cheating case. The police have registered a number of cases against the accused for duping people who have invested money in the projects.
