The two girls, cousins aged 14 and 15 years, went missing from their house on the night of May 27 and their bodies were found hanging from a mango tree in the village in the Ushait area on May 28.
Allahabad: The Allahabad High Court on Thursday sought a progress report on the investigation being carried out in the Badaun murder case from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team.
According to sources, initial investigation by the CBI had indicated that the Badaun murder could be a case of honour killing. The development came after lie detector and polygraph tests were conducted on the family members of the victims.
