MATTANUR(KANNUR): The house of a DYFI worker at Padickachal in Thillenkeri here was reduced to rubbles in a powerful bomb explosion on Sunday morning. The explosion that spread panic among the people in the neighbourhood took place at around 9.30 am on Sunday. Roshin, 21, son of Chandroth Ravndran, who is the owner of the house, was alone in the house when the bombs exploded. According to the police sources, Roshin was placing the country-bombs in a shelf at his house when the explosion took place. He sustained serious injuries on his hands and legs. He was taken to a private hospital in Mangalore where his condition was declared out of danger. The local people in the area was under the impression that the house caught fire following the explosion of a cooking gas cylinder. But the police found out later that explosion was caused by country-bombs kept in the house.
